The Superdome for a Wedding Cake? Hell Yes
This network has always emphasized fan empowerment. It's all about bringing fans together and giving them an intelligent and insightful place to discuss the topic they're the most passionate about.
But the truth is that when it all comes down to it, we're fans first and foremost. That being said, witness New Orleans Saints' Canal Street Chronicles writer Dave Cariello's wedding cake:
I love it. And let me just say, Dave, congratulations. Your new bride is most definitely a keeper. Notice the details of the husband and wife holding hands wearing Saints jerseys. Awesome.

The Phinsider helps crack the "Davone Bess Twittergate" case
There was a big story among Dolphins fans over the past few days that has suddenly gotten some national exposure. And that helped SBN's Miami Dolphins blog - The Phinsider - get some national exposure as well.
It's a long story, to be honest. But in a nut shell, there was a person who was claiming to be Dolphins WR Davone Bess on Twitter. He was using his photos and his name on his account. He was answering questions from fans - both in Twitter and in occassional live webcasts on uStream. Some of his bizarre behavior included calling out Titans RB Chris Johnson and challenging him to a race, brandishing a gun live on the webcam, and (supposedly) smoking weed on camera during a webcast.
However, thanks to myself, Rzayo24 (a regular contributor to The Phinsider), and Finstache (another Dolphins blog), we were able to put together various pieces of the puzzle to conclude that the person on Twitter was not Davone - but rather, was an impostor.
Just to be sure, though, I contacted both Davone's agent (Kenny Zuckerman) as well as the Dolphins' Senior VP of Media Relations - Harvey Greene. Both thanked me for bringing this to their attention and confirmed that the account did not belong to Bess.
This suddenly became a national story when NFL.com's Jason La Canfora wrote about it. In his article, he cites The Phinsider and reports that we did indeed bring this issue to Kenny Zuckerman's attention.
FOX Sports' Alex Marvez also wrote about this saga. Again, The Phinsider was cited in the article:
Thephinsider.com noticed Twitter posts from the fake Bess were being made while the real Bess was on the field participating in offseason practices. The web site alerted Zuckerman to the situation.
So I would like to send my gratitude to this impostor. Thanks to him, The Phinsider got some nice national plugs from some of the giants in the mainstream media.
