27 World Championships is impressive no matter the arguments against it (believe me, I've used them all myself). I just wanted to congratulate the good folks over at SB Nation's Yankee blog Pinstripe Alley. And a word of thanks to the Phillies who put up a, pardon the expression, Good Phight. Given the Devils in 2000 and 2001, I know how tough it is to come this close to winning it back to back only to fall short. It hurts. For a long time.
