This is my first blog in a few months. Today with the news of Manny Ramirez, one of the all time best hitters in baseball, tested positive for a women's fertility drug. Players usually use that to cover up the fact that they took testosterone. But I will get to that later. The NBA playoffs are in full swing and as usual my team the Knicks are not there.

I recently went to the game 3 of the Miami Heat-Atlanta Hawks series. This was my first ever NBA game so it was exiting. Even though the Heat won in a blowout, it was great to experience playoff basketball in person. I will admit starting to root for the heat. I am not saying I'm now a Heat fan, but I figured I could root for another team that actually knows what the playoffs are, just until 2010 otherwise known as the summer of LeBron, when the Knicks will most likely sign 1 or 2 big name free agents. Until that happens, even though they got knocked out by the hawks its still farther than the knicks have gotten in many years. So LETS GO HEAT!

The Mets have gotten off to a sub-par start this year with a record of 14-14. But as usual Johan Santana is showing why he's the best pitcher in baseball, posting a 0.92 era. Also k-rod is 8 for 8 in save opportunities. But not all things are going there way. Oliver Perez who they just signed to a 3 year 36 million dollar contract, is pitching so badly i think i could do better [if you know me you know thats saying a lot]. He was just put on the 15 day DL with "knee" pain. I think the mets put him there to save them from having to let him pitch but I guess we can think he actually has an injury. They need to send him down to the minors for awhile to work on his mechanics and basically remember how to pitch well. Without the 4 incredibly bad games he pitched the mets would be in first place, as if that really matters in may. Hopefully Perez will get his act together so the Mets can grab first place and hold on to it all year long.

Today major league baseball announced that Los Angeles Dodgers left fielder Manny Ramirez is suspended for 50 games for violating the leagues performance enhancing drugs policy. Before this Ramirez was one of my favorite players. All his crazy antics or Manny being Manny. It was entertaining and he's one of the all time best hitters in baseball history. Now he's one of the scums of baseball. Now with the like of    Bonds, Mcguire, Clemens, Pettite, and A-rod. All those like Ramirez either were accused of using steroids of tested positive for steroids. I have lost respect for all of those players and will never regain it. All I have to say to Manny now is very simple and will never change, Manny YOU SUCK!
