SportsCenter at its absolute lamest

SportsCenter jumped the shark years ago. In fact, the term "jump the shark" jumped the shark not that long ago, but I wanted to talk about ESPN and what they've done to SportsCenter, especially on Sunday night.

SportsCenter and American Idol just don't go together.

Who is the all-time worst SportsCenter anchor?

Bob Stevens?

Larry Beil?

Karl Ravich?

One of the chicks?

Did "quite frankly" Stephen A. Smith ever host the show?

Truthfully

I can’t remember the last time I watched a SportsCenter and it wasn’t forced upon me (it’s always on in the gym when I go there and in restaurants – I swear without the forced ESPNization of our gyms and restaurants their viewship would drop in half at least). Maybe back when Charlie Steiner was still there? Course I still think the best was always Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann. Those were the days.

Damn I sound old.

and Kenny Maine. I never laughed so much while watching sports content.

I gotta say, my least favorite is Steve Berthuhme as far as SC anchors go.

I used to watch it nightly but once ESPN drop kicked hockey to the curb and became so focused on it’s baby (the NBA) I haven’t been able stomach it. The baseball coverage is terrible and biased, football used to be good until they farmed out Sunday Countdown to NBC and everything else just sorta blows in general. It’s too bad really.
