The Toughest Pitches to Hit in Baseball

Beyond the Boxscore likes to look beneath the assumptions to find something a little deeper.  They did exactly that recently for the Wall Street Journal in examining the toughest single pitches to hit in baseball.  A further explanation of that and an examination that goes much deeper continued on Beyond the Boxscore.  As an Oakland A's fan, who would've thought that Michael Wuertz had been that effective with his slider?  And Barry Zito's curve?  Not so effective any more.
