So there are many reasons why former Tampa outfielder Carl Crawford chose to sign with the Boston Red Sox. Money, atmosphere and the area are probably reasons. But when our Kansas City Royals site Royals Review decided to write an Onion-like piece about why Crawford was really signing in Boston (to open a bookstore), it wound up thrilling Boston-area book aficionados and going viral on Twitter. Then Crawford added to the drama by eventually tweeting that he was, in fact, planning on opening a bookstore in the Boston area. Did you catch all that?
