New, 2 comments

SB Nation has this official press release hitting the wires today.  The deal is active as of now.

Washington, DC, March 24, 2010:  SB Nation, the largest and fastest growing network of online sports media brands, and the National Football Post, the preeminent forum for all NFL news, information and insight, announced today that they have joined forces in a unique strategic and advertising network partnership. The announcement was made by SB Nation Chairman and CEO Jim Bankoff and National Football Post President Andrew Brandt.

The two emerging sports media brands have created a strategic ad sales network and cross-promotional partnership.  SB Nation will provide advertising sales for the National Football Post. Additionally, both companies will cross-promote one another's original content. The partnership will strengthen and enhance the individual NFL and NCAA team content on the National Football Post while bringing that unique, credible and highest-access content to SB Nation's national football coverage.

"We were fortunate to receive interest from several potential ad network partners, but were convinced that the approach and momentum of SB Nation fit our vision best," stated Brandt.  "We look forward to combining our national coverage and insight on football with SB Nation's local expertise with each pro and college team."

"National Football Post has distinguished itself as a premium brand that aligns perfectly with SB Nation's high-quality positioning," said Bankoff.  "Andrew Brandt, Mike Lombardi and the rest of the NFP team are the ultimate NFL insiders, and their editorial will perfectly complement SB Nation's fan-focused perspective.  This partnership will create value for each company's audiences and the marketers who want to connect with them."
