Hello! I’m SB Nation’s Executive Producer for Team Brands Podcasts, and I’m excited to tell you about what we’re launching in Philadelphia today.
We are happy to announce that Vox Media is officially launching four new podcasts and twelve new shows as extensions of our four Philadelphia team brands. The Philadelphia sports fan community is powerful and unique and so are these shows, each of which will now be hosted exclusively by SB Nation and can be found on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or wherever you enjoy your favorite podcasts.
For fans of the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles, we have built a new Bleeding Green Nation podcast with some familiar names/voices: Michael Kist will continue to co-host the “Kist & Solak Show” with Benjamin Solak, as well as join Brandon Lee Gowton for a weekly edition of the popular “BGN Radio” show. Brandon will also pair with John Stolnis each Saturday to preview that week’s Eagles game.
We’ll be growing quickly before the NFL season gets underway with a goal of creating the most comprehensive, authoritative and entertaining Eagles podcast and the only podcast Eagles fans will need! Click here to subscribe!
For fans of the Philadelphia Flyers, we’re rebranding the podcast to Broad Street Hockey to align fully with our Flyers community. The podcast will continue to be home to the wildly successful and entertaining “BSH Radio” show, hosted by Steph Driver, Kelly Hinkle, Charlie O’Connor and Bill Matz. Broad Street Hockey will also be home to great gameday content and shows like “Flyperbole”, hosted by Steve Jacot and Craig Forsythe, “Saturday Morning Scrambles,” and more. Click here to subscribe!
For fans of the Philadelphia Phillies, we’re combining three of your favorite shows into the ultimate Phillies podcast. With a subscription to The Good Phight, you’ll get episodes of “Hittin’ Season”, “The Dirty Inning”, and “Continued Success” to keep you informed as the Phillies trek towards the playoffs. Click here to subscribe!
For fans of the Philadelphia 76ers, we’re launching a brand new Liberty Ballers podcast, which will welcome back “The Stepover” show, hosted by two former contributors to Liberty Ballers, Jim Adair and Max Rappaport. The show looks at hardcore 76ers fandom with humor and irreverence. It’s the perfect podcast for anyone that remains loyal to The Process. Click here to subscribe!
Each of these podcasts capture the fun and insightfulness of their communities. As time goes on, they’ll continue to evolve, just like our communities have and just like fandom does. Our goal is to always make them entertaining and valuable to those looking for a little more analysis, a little more passion, news, reactions, and everything that makes us sports fans.
